On March 26, 2025, ChinaMed Research Fellows Leonardo Bruni and Bianca Pasquier were hosted by the Institut de Recherche Stratégique de l'École Militaire (IRSEM) for a seminar titled "L'Initiative pour la sécurité mondiale : la médiation chinoise et les conflits de la région méditerranéenne" (The Global Security Initiative: Chinese Mediation and Conflicts in the Mediterranean Region). The event, chaired by Dr. Carine Pina (IRSEM), saw the presentation of the ChinaMed's research Séminaire Asie 4/AAMO on perceptions of and key characteristics defining China’s role as a mediator in the wider Mediterranean region.
